Cardiff and Vale UHB is a Smoke Free Health Board. Smoking is banned across all of the UHB sites. Staff are therefore not able to smoke in the hospital grounds or on any other UHB premises.


Applications are invited for the role of Specialist Autism Practitioner within the newly created Integrated Autism Service.

Our IAS Team is part of an exciting service development across Wales and is funded by Welsh Government.

Successful candidates will work within our multidisciplinary team, providing Pre and Post Diagnostic Counseling, ongoing support for service users and the provision of expert advice to other mental health professionals.

In addition our team will provide support to parents and carers of children and young people with Autism, working closely with our Neurodevelopment Service to ensure a smooth transition to adult services.

This is a unique opportunity to be part of a significant service improvement.

Previous experience of working with service users with Autism is highly desirable. We are able to offer a range of training opportunities in methodologies such as ADOS, ADI-R and DISCO.

The ability to speak Welsh is desirable for this post.
