Learning about Autism Secondary School Award

The Learning about Autism Programme is a whole school approach to improving awareness and understanding of the needs of autistic pupils.  You can apply for your school award by completing the form below. Please ensure that:

  • all teaching and learning support staff have completed the certification scheme;
  • all other support staff (including admin staff, catering and governors) have completed the ‘Autism Aware’ scheme;
  • the majority of Key Stage 3 and 4 pupils must have undertaken the Sgilti lesson and signed the Autism Aware Charter;
  • practice has changed in the school.

We are able to check the completion rates for your setting.  When most or all of your school have completed the scheme we will issue your certificate and enter your setting onto our database.
